Pete McDevitt joined FishBait in January 2014. His primary responsibility is to lead FishBait’s new business efforts across each of the agencies properties. Using both new and existing inventory and intellectual property, Pete is focused on creating value for FishBait’s clients and property partners through impactful sponsorship solutions.

Prior to joining FishBait, Pete worked at ESPN for nearly ten years in its national advertising sales and marketing division (CMS) based in New York City. He focused exclusively on maximizing ESPN’s comprehensive collegiate rights and properties through the creation of multimedia sponsorship solutions across its television, digital, audio and print platforms. Having worked on numerous high-profile sponsorship programs during his tenure at ESPN such as College (football) GameDay built by The Home Depot, College (basketball) GameDay covered by State Farm, The Capital One Cup, The John R. Wooden Player of the Year Award presented by Wendy’s, Pete brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of integrating sports media assets within larger sponsorship programs to FishBait and its clients.

Pete started with ESPN in August 2004 as an Account Executive selling sponsorship assets at ESPN Regional Television’s property at TCU in Fort Worth, TX.

Before joining ESPN, Pete worked for Host Communications from June of 2002 – July 2004.

Pete got his start in intercollegiate athletics during the summer of 1999 when he was hired by former Marquette Head Coach (and current Indiana University Basketball Head Coach), Tom Crean to serve as the Coordinator of Men’s Basketball Operations at Marquette University. While working at Marquette for Coach Crean, Pete’s role encompassed almost every non-coaching related function of the Men’s Basketball program – including sponsorship sales and game day marketing.

Pete graduated from Marquette University in May of 1998 with an undergraduate (business) degree in Marketing and Communications. He lives in New York City with wife, Amy.
